This exists. And we don’t get it.
Hey Nissan. Don’t we deserve nice things?

Since Nissan is the company that gave us the current gen Versa and Sentra, then no, they don’t think we deserve nice things.

They don’t want to go all borrego on us. It’s cool that it’s a traverse/pilot with real off road cred, but I think they know most people will just buy the traverse/pilot.

Give it a couple of years, they’ll rename it the Starion and we’ll get them here.

Mitsubishi should’ve never stopped selling the Montero here. Big SUV’s will always be a hot segment here for the foreseeable future, and this the largest market for these, anyway.
The company would be in much better shape had they kept selling their big SUV’s here.

Mitsubishi Execs: You know what we’ll do? We’ll build a big, badass, cool-looking, off road-capable SUV!! It’ll sell lik crazy!!
Mitsubishi Non-Execs: Yes!! We’ll sell Americans millions of them!!
Execs: Wait, what? No no, you fool. We’ll sell them everywhere BUT in the US.

I’ve had this in Turbo diesel form in Melbourne as my Avis Special. They wanted to give me a Holden Trailblazer (*gag*) originally. Checked my status and gave me a The Pajero Sport instead. It was a great car.

More of a fan of the D:5 Delica myself. A practical minivan and a high ride so the missus will buy it. I think it looks perfect, boxy like an SUV, but still proudly a minivan. I think they could genuinely revitalise the minivan market if they import it in other places.
Haven’t got 6 more kids to fill the seats? Mitsubishi’s got you covered.
The problem is that it’s over a decade old (but still looks new!), and Mitsubishi are definitely going to fuck it up with their new styling direction.
